			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>ST FAITH&#8217;S PRAYER DIARY    MAY 2012<br />
</strong><em>Luke 12:32      “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to    <br />
                           give you the kingdom.”</em></p>
<p><strong>TUE 1</strong>   Cottage Counselling Centre – pray for Genni Cribb, Jennie Lakos and the Committee, Ross Jones, Lindsay  Walton, Lynne Tripet, Steven Salmon and Donna Burton as they meet tonight. Thank God for his continued  provision for the work of the Cottage and pray He will raise up a fund raising team who are able to   source sufficient funds to ensure the continued successful running of the service so that all those needing  subsidized counselling are able to obtain it.  Pray for God to provide the right people to undertake the  roles of Treasurer and Administration Assistant to oversee the financial aspects and ensure the smooth  running of the service. Pray for peace and wisdom for the counsellors during their sessions with clients.<br />
 Pray for the NPSRE Association Board which meets tonight to pray for, support and plan for the work Debbie  Peters is doing at the Cromer Campus. Give thanks for David Curnow (treasurer), Claire Spencer (secretary),  Ellen Stretton, Josh Thomas and Jill Selles, who faithfully support this ministry with their time and energy.  Pray for continued opportunities to share the gospel in this school<br />
 and for Debbie as she makes the most of these opportunities for God&#8217;s glory.<br />
<strong>WED 2</strong>   Pray for Scripture teachers and their students who start lessons again for Term 2. Pray the teachers are  establishing good relationships with the children and are able to present the lessons in a way that  encourages the students to seek to know and love Jesus. Pray the teachers are a good witness for God in all  their interactions with staff and children and parents.<br />
 Pray for Autumn Morning Tea being held today. Pray that visitors feel welcomed. Pray people from St Faith’s  are a good witness for Jesus. Give thanks for Nola Munro and Shirley Tucker who have organized this event.<br />
<strong>THU3</strong>    Pray for Grant Gallant the ARV Chaplain and the Pastoral Care volunteers who are attending a Pastoral Care  training session on Loss and Grief today at Warriewood Brook. Pray what they learn will help them  in their  ministry to the residents. Pray for Linda King who is providing the training.<br />
<strong>FRI  4</strong>    Pray for SOULIES as they learn an overview of the bible this term. They will be doing the same GOD&#8217;S BIG  PICTURE series as the rest of church. Pray that this would be a good time for families to learn together from  the bible.<br />
<strong>SAT 5</strong>    Pray for Neil Souter who is preaching today at The Gathering and tomorrow at WAC and for Kerry Nagel as he  prepares to preach tomorrow at St Faith’s on Genesis 3 –“The Perished Kingdom” Pray that we will be open to  hear God speak<br />
<strong>SUN 6</strong>    Pray for the Year 7-12 parents morning tea and supper today. Pray that our youth leaders would continue to  partner effectively with church families to see young people grow up strong in the Lord.<br />
 Pray for the 60,000 Christians in Syria who have been displaced by the violence and are now suffering  persecution. Pray they receive the emergency food, clothing, medicine and refuge they need. Give thanks for  those people and organizations who offer them support practically, financially and with prayer.<br />
<strong>MON 7</strong>    Gumnut Kindy – give thanks for the new enrolments, pray the children settle easily. Pray those places still  available on Monday and Wednesday will be filled soon. Give thanks for many jobs completed and fun had by all  at the working bee. Please pray for the Assessment under National Quality Framework, occurring in June.  Gumnut will be one of the first centres to be assessed, pray everything required is prepared. Pray all the  teachers keep their focus on the job that God has given them to do, witnessing through love and care for all  the families and children that attend Gumnut. Also give thanks for the safe arrival of Isabella May, Trish  and John&#8217;s granddaughter!<br />
<strong>TUE 8</strong>    Give thanks and pray for our female small group leaders - that God would use them to encourage those women in  their care to grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus.<br />
<strong>WED 9</strong>    Give thanks for all those in Christian partnership with Carole Robertson as she sees our Father’s mercy and  love play out in the lives of the elderly at North Sydney and patients at Royal North Shore and Royal Prince  Alfred Hospitals. Pray God sustains her as she supports those needing her pastoral care.<br />
<strong>THU 10</strong>    Pray for Grant Gallant the Chaplain for Warringah Rugby Club. Pray he continues to get to know the players,  particularly new ones as he meets with them on Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons; being a witness for  Jesus and assisting them where he can. Pray he is able to encourage the Christians in the club in their faith  and their witness to others.<br />
<strong>FRI 11</strong>     Mission-Kent &amp; Linda. Give thanks for the permission to visit the Central Prison where women from the Remand  Centre are now living. Linda and her team of helpers are very excited about seeing the ladies again. Pray for  Kent as he trains staff in a large company doing a community development project in a rural area. May he be  granted wisdom, insight and good relationships with the community, as they seek to work together. Pray the  team can continue to serve all the clients well, and have good witness in their interactions with staff at  all levels. The main focus is helping them mature in Christ. Visa problems again. Pray for the problem of  Visa uncertainty, as the authorized time issued has now been limited and it may be wise to seek residency.  Pray for wisdom as they trust in God through their struggle with a decision.<br />
<strong>SAT 12</strong>    Mission-Paul &amp; Sandra King in France. Give thanks for a good response to the conference at the Geneva Bible  Institute on May 10 - 12.The theme of the conference is &#8220;What is a Gospel-based ministry?&#8221; Pray that the  leaders from their local church, and pastors from other French churches will be challenged and inspired by  the lectures.<br />
<strong>SUN 13</strong>     Give thanks for mothers; pray that God will equip and strengthen women in their task as they care for and  support their families. Pray we remember to appreciate them every day as well as Mother’s Day.<br />
 Pray for Philip Selden preaching at Traditional Service today and Grant Gallant preaching at all other St  Faith’s services and WAC on “The Promised Kingdom” Galatians 3. Pray that the truth of the gospel might be  proclaimed today, especially for visitors here for Mother’s Day.<br />
<strong>MON 14</strong>     Mission-Steve &amp; Narelle Etherington- Pray for the final stages in the work on the Bible translation to go to  plan. Pray the Agoriginal Christians are able to attend the meetings in Darwin to check the final drafts.  Pray Steve and Narelle settle well in Tammworth especially pray for energy for Narelle as she “mothers” her  grandchildren.<br />
<strong>TUE 15</strong>     Pray for Dave Miers as he preaches at the Northern Beaches Men&#8217;s Convention tonight at Narrabeen Baptist  Church. Pray also for ONE.LIFE. It begins next Tuesday night. Thank God for the many serving and helping to  run the night and pray that we would all be bold in inviting friends to come and hear the good news of Jesus.<br />
<strong>WED 16</strong>     Pray for the members of Mothers Union that they continue to be an encouragement for each other and for  others. Pray also that God will raise up a new President to lead this group. Give thanks for the service of  Carolyn Nott who previously filled this role.<br />
<strong>THU 17</strong>     Gumtrees Playtime - Pray for good relationships to develop amongst the women and children who meet together  in the old church each Thursday morning and that these relationships and the time spent together will bring  glory to Jesus. Pray for energy and enthusiasm for the team of mothers who lead (Nat, Liz, Rowena, Connie and  Beck).<br />
<strong>FRI18</strong>    Pray for Ben Molyneux as he prepares to speak this weekend. Pray for wisdom and insight into God&#8217;s word and  that God&#8217;s Spirit would illuminate God&#8217;s word in our hearts and lives.<br />
<strong>SAT 19</strong>    Pray for a good time of teaching and fellowship for those women that go along to the EQUIP women’s conference  at Darling Harbour today. Pray that it helps them to be better equipped to know and serve Jesus.<br />
 Pray for Neil, who is speaking at The Gathering this evening, Ben at St Faith’s and Kerry at WAC tomorrow, on  2Samuel 7  - “the Partial Kingdom”. Ask God to give us ears to hear and understand the depth of God’s love  and how he planned our redemption from before the beginning of the world.<br />
 <strong>SUN 20</strong>    Pray for the WAC Church family as they gather and meet over lunch or dinner during May for their ‘Guess who  is coming to Dinner’ date. Pray this helps them to get to know and support one another better.<br />
 Pray for PARADOX CAFE tonight after Night Church. Pray that it would be a great way to introduce young adults  into our community.<br />
<strong>MON 21</strong>     Parish Council -Pray for Kerry and the Parish councilors (Bob David Debbie Larry peter Phil and Stuart) who  meet today .Pray their discussions and decisions are in line with God’s will.<br />
<strong>TUE 22</strong>    Pray for the first night of ONE.LIFE. tonight. Pray that many would come, pray that Dave Miers would present  the gospel clearly. Pray for table leaders to be welcoming and pray people would keep coming back for the  full 5 weeks.<br />
<strong>WED 23</strong>    Pray for our 55+ group as they bus it to the Eco Garden at Kimbriki for lunch, a tour and informative  lecture. Thank God for the kindness of Warringah Council to the group. Pray that the group will learn and  practice what they have learnt.<br />
<strong>THU 24</strong>    Thank God for the fellowship shared at the Quilting and Needlework Club and pray for a successful Quilt Show  and “Biggest Morning Tea” today. Give thanks for those who helped to set up and for Judith Baker who oversees  the club.<br />
<strong>FRI 25</strong>     Pray for the Morning Church music team as they meet today for some vision, planning and prayer. Give thanks  for Scott McLean who coordinates music at Morning Church. Pray that this group would continue to serve God  and his people faithfully at church in leading us in worship through music and song.<br />
<strong>SAT 26</strong>     Pray for Dave Miers as he prepares to speak  at The Gathering tonight and tomorrow at St Faith’s services  also for Grant speaking at WAC tomorrow. They are speaking on Hosea – “The Prophesied Kingdom” Pray for the  Holy Spirit to open our hearts to the truth of the scriptures.<br />
<strong>SUN 27</strong>    Pray for Charli Spedding as she is baptised at Morning Church today. Give thanks for her parents, Stu and  Sally who love Jesus - pray that they would raise Charli (and Ella) to know and love Jesus.<br />
<strong>MON 28</strong>     Mission- Helen Hoskins-  pray for Helen as she lectures at Bunda Bible College each week and pray for wise  allocation of time as her teaching load at the College increases.<br />
<strong>TUE 29</strong>     Pray for the planning for INSPIRE – the annual women’s training/encouragement day  on July 21. Pray Rosemary  MacGregor and the team planning it would work well together, and that the day would be helpful for those  women that come. Jenny Salt is the speaker, pray for her too, as she prepares.<br />
<strong>WED 30</strong>    War Vets - Thank God for peoples’ growing receptiveness to the gospel at the War Vets. Give thanks for the  efforts of Tony, Bob and the volunteers who pastor to the residents there. Pray for a Christian mentor for a  younger man coming t the War Vets, ask God to raise up the right person who will be able to successfully  point him towards Jesus. Pray that those Vietnam vets who struggle with alcohol will be able to stay sober  and that others will be prepared to go to rehab.<br />
<strong>THU 31</strong>     Thank God for all of our volunteer leaders in kids and youth ministry on Fridays. Pray for all LIGHTHOUSE,  GROMMETS and SOULIES leaders that they would continue to lovingly point young people to Jesus. Pray for the  preparations for Grommets Winter Camp to be held at the end of June</p>
