This is the first of three talks titled: “Godly Sorrow”.
In the first talk in our new series on 1 Timothy, we look at the warnings Paul gives about false teachers and leaders and how we should be seeking faith and good conscience instead of religion. This talk is based on 1 Timothy 1: 1-20.
Does Jesus promise us that things will not go wrong, or does he promise to be with us no matter what the situation? This week our guest speaker looks at what Mark has to say about why we should trust Jesus with our lives. This talk is based on Mark 14: 26-31 & 16: 1-8.
How do we know God loves us? Dave revisits Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son and looks not only at the young, rebellious son, but also at his older brother and at their father - and asks “Who is really the recklessly extravagant one?”. This talk is based on Luke 15: 11-32. NB: The are some small gaps in the recording, we apologize for this.
When do you think Jesus will return, soon, later, or never? When you think He will return reflects how you live your life now. In our final talk from Zechariah, Neil looks at what God promises to do on the Day of the Lord, and how it will affect everyone. He reminds us not to lose sight of the big picture!! This talk is based on Zechariah 14.
Sometimes when we face difficulties in our life or when we feel distant from God, we can forget that God is still sovereign over every situation and that His purpose and plans for us will be realized. In this talk, Ben reminds us what those purposes and plans are. This talk is based on Zechariah 12 & 13.
