Our Vision

Our Mission Statement

The St. Faith’s Purpose Statement captures our vision of who we want to be:
“Our desire is to be:
A community transformed by Jesus’ love,
Fully devoted to loving one another,
And radically committed to impacting the world with Christ’s love.”

Our Vision

One of the barriers to growth that we have identified is that many of us have few non-christain friends and ‘contacts’. The statistics suggest that 60% of Sydney residents do not know a Christian. So, we have joined the program that the Sydney Anglican denomination is ‘gearing up’ for, called “Connect 09”. The aim of this program is, particularly in 2009, to begin to make real connections with those in our community who do not know Christ. We are planning to :

Pray earnestly that God would enable us to contact many, in the name of Christ.

Connect, by a whole range of means, make initial contact with people, and then develop those contacts.

Expect that God will do His work of love, and save many people through us.

Part of this program will involve us deliberately focussing on particular “communities” within the wider Northern beaches population. (e.g. Local school communities- children who attend, then the parents etc who are also part of the wider community focussed on the school.) And it will involve staff in developing teams of StFaiths members to do this, and then training and supporting and leading these teams.

Our Plan

As we increasingly know and experience Jesus’ love for us the Spirit of God is changing us to be more and more like him. As we become more like him, we are becoming people who not only believe, but also belong: we belong to a community that demonstrates Christ’s love in action as we love and care for each other.
Hand in hand with that, we are increasingly committed to taking the love of Jesus to all people by our words and our actions.
